Tulowitzki to Blue Jays, Reyes to Rockies

Two of baseball's leading shortstops were traded last night. Troy Tulowitzki went to the Toronto Blue Jays and Jose Reyes went to the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies also got three minor league pitchers and Toronto gained veteran relief pitcher LaTroy Hawkins in the trade. [read more ...]

Uribe and Johnson Go to Mets

The New York Mets and Atlanta Braves have agreed to a deal that sends infielder Juan Uribe and utility player Kelly Johnson to the Mets in exchange for minor league pitching prospects John Gant and Rob Whalen. With an outstanding young starting rotation led by Matt Harvey and Jacob DeGrom, the Mets can afford to lose two pitching prospects in order to gain some offensive power. The Mets are currently in second place in the NL East division due to their pitching prowess but their offense has been weak.
