Blue Jays Get Ace Pitcher Price

The Toronto Blue Jays acquired ace pitcher David Price in a trade with the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers gain three young pitchers in the deal. With the Blue Jays six games behind the AL East leading New York Yankees, Price might make a huge difference for the team in the weeks to come. Royals Trade Blanton to Pirates

With their starting rotation improved with the acquisition of Johnny Cueto, yesterday the Royals traded veteran pitcher Joe Blanton to the Pittsburgh Pirates for cash considerations. Cueto Traded to Royals

The Cincinnati Reds have traded their ace pitcher Johnny Cueto to the Kansas City Royals for pitching prospects Brandon Finnegan, John Lamb, and Cody Reed. The trade should help the Royals extend their lead over the rest of the AL Central division. They already have a seven and a half game lead over their nearest competitors, the Minnesota Twins, and they currently have the highest win percentage (.608) in the AL. [read more ...]
