Chaz Roe, relief pitcher, was first drafted in 2005 by the Colorado Rockies. After six years in the Rockies' minor league system, he was traded to the Seattle Mariners in December, 2010. He wasn't with the Mariners long, however. They designated him for assignment on June 29, 2011.

Roe became a free agent in November, 2011, but no teams signed him. He didn't play professional baseball in 2012.

Roe signed a minor league contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks in September, 2012. He split his time in 2013 between the Diamondbacks and the minors. He had a 4.03 ERA in 22.1 innings in 21 games with the Diamondbacks.

On November 1, 2013, Roe was claimed off waivers by the Texas Rangers. He was designated for assignment on January 29, 2014, and he became a free agent on February 5th. A day later, he signed a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins.

Roe played in the Marlins' minor league system until August 31, 2014, when he was traded to the New York Yankees. He pitched 22.0 innings in 3 games with the Yankees in 2014.

The Pittsburgh Pirates claimed Roe off waivers on September 24, 2014, but he stayed with them only until December 2nd, when he became a free agent. Ten days later, he was wearing a new uniform, after signing a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles on December 12th. In 2015, he pitched in a career high 36 games with the Orioles. He finished the season with 4 wins and 2 losses, 38 strikeouts to 17 walks, and a 4.14 ERA in 41.1 innings.

The Orioles designated Roe for assignment on July 29, 2016. The Atlanta Braves claimed him off waivers on August 7th. He finished the season with 2 wins and no losses, 37 strikeouts to 14 walks, and a 3.64 ERA in 9 games with the Orioles and 21 games with the Braves. He also pitched 37.2 innings in 33 games in the minors.

Roe was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays on July 18, 2017. He finished the 2017 season with a 2.53 ERA in 10.2 innings in 3 games with the Braves and 9 games with the Rays.

Roe spent time on the DL in 2018. In 61 games with the Rays, he had 1 win and 3 losses, 1 save, 53 strikeouts to 16 walks, and a 3.58 ERA in 50.1 innings.

Roe was again on the DL in 2019, with a right flexor strain. He finished the season with 1 win and 3 losses, 1 save, 65 strikeouts to 31 walks, and a 4.06 ERA in 51.0 innings in 71 games. In the postseason, he pitched 2.2 innings in 3 games, and he gave up 3 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 2 batters and walked 1, and he had a 6.75 ERA.

Roe pitched just 9.1 innings in 10 games in 2020. He had a 2.89 ERA.

Roe spent most of the 2021 season on the IL. He pitched in just one game with the Rays.

Roe became a free agent on November 3, 2021.
