Rob Scahill, relief pitcher, was drafted by the New York Yankees in 2008 but he didn't sign with them. A year later, he was drafted by and signed with the Colorado Rockies. He pitched as a starting pitcher in the Rockies' minor league system from 2009 through 2012.

Scahill joined the Rockies' bullpen for just 8.2 innings in 6 games in 2012. He spent the rest of the season in the minor leagues. The following season, he split his time between the Rockies and the minors, pitching in relief in both leagues. He pitched 33.1 innings in 23 games with the Rockies in 2013 and he finished with a 5.13 ERA. He spent most of the 2014 season in the minors, pitching just 15.0 innings in 12 games with the Rockies.

The Rockies traded Scahill to the Pittsburgh Pirates on November 11, 2014. He spent part of the 2015 season on the DL with forearm tightness. He finished the season with a 2.64 ERA in 30.2 innings in 28 games with the Pirates.

Scahill was claimed off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers on July 12, 2016. He finished the 2016 season with a 3.38 ERA and 27 strikeouts to 9 walks in a career high 34.2 innings in 15 games with the Pirates and 16 games with the Brewers.

Scahill spent half of the 2017 season in the minors. In 18 games with the Brewers, he had 1 win and 3 losses, 10 strikeouts to 10 walks, and a 4.43 ERA in 22.1 innings.

Scahill became a free agent on October 4, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox on January 22, 2018. He spent most of the 2018 season in the minors, pitching just 5.0 innings in 6 games with the White Sox.

Scahill became a free agent on October 26, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs on January 18, 2019, and he was released on March 8th. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
