Ryan Garton, relief pitcher, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2012. He pitched in their minor league system from 2012 through 2015.

Garton pitched in 37 games with the Rays in 2016. He finished with 1 win and 2 losses, 1 save, 33 strikeouts to 11 walks, and a 4.35 ERA in 39.1 innings. He also pitched in 22 games in the minors.

The Rays traded Garton to the Seattle Mariners on August 6, 2017. He finished the 2017 season with no wins and 1 loss, 16 strikeouts to 6 walks, and a 4.91 ERA in 22.0 innings in 7 games with the Rays and 13 games with the Mariners. He also pitched in 31 games in the minors.

Garton spent the 2018 season on the DL and in the minors. In 2019, he was again mostly in the minors, pitching just 3.0 innings in 2 games with the Mariners.

Garton became a free agent on October 8, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins on November 26th. He was released on September 4, 2020. He didn't play professional baseball in 2020.

Garton played in the Mexican League in 2021.
