"Princess Isabella: A Witch's Curse" is a combination adventure and hidden object game in which you have to help Isabella remove the curse placed on her castle by a witch. The story begins with Isabella learning that the castle was cursed prior to the princess' wedding. As she returns to her castle, Isabella is greeted by a fairy who will help her, and you, remove the curse. Throughout the game, you can get hints by clicking on the fairy. There is also a guest book that contains story details that might help you navigate through the game. As you move through the game, the fairy acquires four abilities - rock, fire, water, wind - that can help you uncover needed items. For example, you can break vases by asking the fairy to use her rock ability on them. Additional help is provided with sparkling areas that show you where you can use the fairy's abilities or inventory items. You can use the game's map to check your location and see areas that need to be completed. You cannot, however, use the map to jump from one location to another. A major goal of the game is to remove the evil from each of the rooms in the castle. The task required to clear away the evil differs for each room. A room with evil appears in dark shades but turns to a beautiful and colorful room once the evil is removed. Evil objects include snakes, skulls, skeletons, and monsters. In addition to removing evil from rooms, you need to unlock the castle's inhabitants from mirrors in the castle's main hall. To do this, you collect mirror pieces throughout the castle and then return to the main hall to assemble the pieces as they move around the room. The people are unlocked in order from lowest rank (servants) to highest rank (king and queen). Each person who is unlocked gives you information on the curse and the witch to help you complete your task of freeing the castle. The game also includes puzzles that can be skipped. Some of the puzzles are different from those in other games, while other more common types, such as gear puzzles, are also included. Most of the puzzles are easy. The hidden object scenes in the game are moderately easy. The items you need to find are clear and bright and related to the storyline. "Princess Isabella: A Witch's Curse" is a delightful, fairy tale game that is sure to delight players of all ages. It has beautiful graphics, a connected storyline, and enjoyable gameplay. Although it might be too easy and too short for experienced game players, it should provide several hours of fun for most people.
