Did you know that you can easily
upload files to your iDisk with the MobileMe online
application? Your iDisk has 20 GB of storage space that
you can use for offsite data storage and, with the
online MobileMe application, you can easily copy files
to your iDisk for safe keeping.
Connect to the Internet, launch your
web browser and go to www.me.com/idisk and log
into your MobileMe account. The MobileMe iDisk pane
will open.

Apple has conveniently provided some labeled folders
for your data but, according to MobileMe support, you
can use the folders for any data you want. Adding files
to one of the folders is easy with the MobileMe
application. Just select the folder you want, for
example, the Music folder, and click the Upload
button on the pane's Toolbar.
A second pane will open, letting you select the files
you want to add to the folder. Just click the
Choose... button to locate and select the files
for uploading.

After you select the files to upload, a progress pane
will open and you can monitor the progress of the
upload.

If you want to upload a folder to your iDisk using the
MobileMe online application, you'll need to first
compress the folder and upload it as a zip file.
Fortunately, compressing a folder in Mac OS X 10.5
(Leopard) is easy. Select the folder in the Finder and
then select Compress [folder name] from the File
menu. Once the folder is compressed, you can upload it
the same way you upload files.
