My Review:

"Singin' in the Rain" has been digitally enhanced for the DVD version and it is a perfect enhancement. The video has a clear picture with sharp, bright and natural colors. The sound is clear with plenty of volume, even on a small, portable television set.

"Singin' in the Rain" is a great Hollywood spoof, beginning with Don Lockwood's autobiography that is full of lies and exaggerations. There are laughs throughout the movie, especially for people who remember the earlier days of movies.

Like other movie musicals that were choreographed by Gene Kelly, there are many different dance styles combined into one spectacular number ("Broadway Melody" production number). Although that number does not really fit into the plot, it's a pleasure to watch. "Singin' in the Rain" was one of the last movies choreographed by Gene Kelly ("Brigadoon" was two years later) and the last movie of his that had a special production number that displayed his versatility as a dancer and choreographer.
