My Review:

The Region 1 DVD of "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying" is digitally enhanced but there are some scenes where there is a slight deterioration in the video quality. However, overall the video is sharp with natural colors. The sound is clear and the volume level is ample, although it does seem to be dependent on the application used to view the movie when it is played through a computer.

"How to Succeed" begins with the overture and scenes of New York, but it quickly goes into the plot when Ponty (Robert Morse) sees and buys the book, "How to Succeed in Business."

A good technique that is used throughout the film is the vocal reading of the book, in a narration style, while Ponty reads it silently.

"How to Succeed" is filled with humor in the dialogue and in the songs. It is a wonderful, "feel good" film that provides an entertaining parody of the world of big business. It is a thoroughly enjoyable film and makes a great diversion from everyday problems.
