Composer & Lyricist: David Heneker
Most of the songs for the movie version of "Half a Sixpence" were written for the original London West End production of the play. Two new songs, "The Race is On" and "This is My World," were written specifically for the movie. A few songs from the stage production were eliminated from the film version.
The songs performed by Julia Foster in "Half a Sixpence" were dubbed by Marti Webb, but she was uncredited. Webb is a British pop singer who has had a few hit singles on the UK charts.
