Adrian Nieto, catcher, was first drafted by the Washington Nationals in 2008. He played in the Nationals' minor league system from 2008 through 2013, finishing with 309 hits, 163 RBIs, and a .254 batting average in 357 games. In 2011, he was suspended for 50 games for using PEDs.

In December, 2013, the Chicago White Sox drafted and signed Nieto. He finished the 2014 season with 25 hits, 38 strikeouts to 8 walks, and a .236 batting average in 48 games. He spent the entire 2015 season in the minors.

Nieto signed a contract with the Miami Marlins on November 25, 2015. He didn't play in the majors in 2016 and he played in just 37 games in the Marlins' minor league system.

Nieto became a free agent on November 7, 2016. He signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds on January 2, 2017. He was released on August 28, 2017, after playing in 68 games in the Reds' minor league system.

Nieto didn't play professional baseball in 2018.

Nieto returned to the Marlins on a minor league contract on June 23, 2019. He spent the 2019 season in the minors.

Nieto became a free agent on November 4, 2019. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2019.
