Allen Craig, retired outfielder, played all infield positions while at UC Berkeley. In 2006, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals and spent four seasons (2006-2009) in the minor leagues. He made his first appearance with the Cardinals in April, 2010, but he played in just 44 games with the team that year.
In 2011, Craig suffered from a fractured knee cap and he played in just 75 games with the Cardinals. The following year, he again spent time on the DL and he played with the Cardinals in 119 games. That season, Craig batted .307 with 144 hits, 35 doubles, 22 home runs, and 92 RBIs. In 2013, he batted .315 with 160 hits, 29 doubles, and 97 RBIs in 134 games.
On July 31, 2014, after a poor start to the season, Craig was traded to the Boston Red Sox. He finished the 2014 season with 99 hits, 20 doubles, and a .215 batting average in 97 games with the Cardinals and 29 games with the Red Sox.
Craig spent most of the 2015 season in the minor leagues, playing in 36 games with the Red Sox and 93 games in the minors. In 2016, he played only in the minor leagues.
Craig spent the 2017 season in the minor leagues until he was released on June 30th.
Craig signed a minor league contract with the San Diego Padres on January 22, 2018. He spent the 2018 season in the minor leagues.
The Padres released Craig on March 19, 2019. He retired the following month.
