Anthony Gose, pitcher for the Cleveland Indians, was first drafted in 2008 by the Philadelphia Phillies. He played in the Phillies' minor league system in 2008 and 2009. He led all minor league players in stolen bases in 2009 with 76.

The Phillies traded Gose to the Houston Astros at the end of July, 2010, and the Astros almost immediately traded him to the Toronto Blue Jays. He continued to play in the minor leagues through most of 2013, finishing with 645 hits, 107 doubles, 258 stolen bases, and a .259 batting average in 645 games.

Gose played in 56 games with the Blue Jays in 2012 and he finished the season with 37 hits, 15 stolen bases, and a .223 batting average. In 2013, he batted .283 with 38 hits in 52 games. He finished the 2014 season with 54 hits, 15 stolen bases, and a .226 batting average in 94 games.

On November 12, 2014, Gose was traded to the Detroit Tigers. He finished the 2015 season with 123 hits, 24 doubles, 23 stolen bases, and a .254 batting average in 140 games. As a center fielder, he made 352 putouts and 4 errors in 137 games.

Gose spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, joining the Tigers for just 30 games.

Gose was converted to a pitcher in the minor leagues in 2017. He pitched in 11 games in the minors and he had a 7.59 ERA.

Gose elected free agency on November 6, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on December 4, 2017. The Astros claimed him off waivers on December 14th. He was returned to the Rangers on March 9, 2018. He played only in the minors in 2018.

Gose became a free agent on October 5, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Indians on December 8, 2018. He spent the 2019 season on the DL and in the minors.

Gose didn't play professional baseball in 2020. He pitched for the Indians/Guardians in six games in 2021, and he had an ERA of 1.35. He spent part of the season playing for the US team in the Olympics. After the season ended, he played in the Dominican Winter League.
