Brandon Barnes, outfielder, was first drafted by the Houston Astros in 2005. He played in the Astros' minor league system from 2005 through most of 2012, joining the Astros for 43 games in 2012. He finished his minor league career with 701 hits, 178 doubles, 369 RBIs, and a .261 batting average in 736 games.

In 2013, Barnes played in 136 games with the Astros. He finished the season with 98 hits, 17 doubles, 8 home runs, 127 strikeouts to 21 walks, 41 RBIs, 11 stolen bases, and a .240 batting average.

Barnes was traded to the Colorado Rockies in December, 2013. He finished the 2014 season with 75 hits, 17 doubles, and a .257 batting average in 132 games.

Barnes batted .251 with 64 hits in 106 games with the Rockies in 2015. Defensively, he played 75 games in left field, 11 games in center field, and 21 games in right field.

In 2016, Barnes played in 64 games in the minors and 48 games with the Rockies before being designated for assignment on July 25th.

Barnes signed a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins on January 3, 2017. He spent the entire 2017 season in the minors.

Barnes became a free agent on November 6, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians on November 30th. He spent most of the 2018 season in the minors, playing in just 19 games with the Indians.

The Indians traded Barnes to the Minnesota Twins on August 2, 2019. He spent the 2019 season in the minors.

Barnes became a free agent on November 4, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds on January 15, 2020. He was released on June 17th. He played in the Korean Baseball Organization after being released. He didn't play professional baseball in 2021.
