Brian Dozier, second baseman, was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2009. After playing in the minor leagues from 2009 to the beginning of the 2012 baseball season, he was called up to the Twins in mid-May, 2012. He finished his minor league career with a .298 batting average.

Dozier played in 84 games with the Twins in 2012. He started as a shortstop but he was moved to second base in 2013. He finished the 2014 season with 145 hits, 33 doubles, 23 home runs, 71 RBIs, and a .242 batting average in 156 games.

Dozier finished the 2015 season with 148 hits, 39 doubles, 28 home runs, 77 RBIs, and a .236 batting average in 157 games. As the Twins' second baseman, he made 456 assists, 111 double plays, 303 putouts, and 8 errors in 157 games.

Dozier had a good season in 2016, with a .268 batting average, 165 hits, 35 doubles, a career high 42 home runs, a career high 99 RBIs, 18 stolen bases, and 138 strikeouts to 61 walks in 155 games. Defensively, as the Twins' second baseman in 151 games, he made 419 assists, 118 double plays, 286 putouts, and 8 errors.

Dozier's 2017 season was similar to the one he had in 2016. He had a career high 166 hits, 30 doubles, 34 home runs, 93 RBIs, 16 stolen bases, 141 strikeouts to 78 walks, and a career high batting average of .269. As the Twins' second baseman in 152 games, he made 405 assists, 109 double plays, 264 putouts, and 5 errors. He had a .993 fielding percentage. He won his first Gold Glove in 2017.

The Twins traded Dozier to the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 31, 2018. He finished the 2018 season with 119 hits, 30 doubles, 21 home runs, 129 strikeouts to 70 walks, and a .215 batting average in 104 games with the Twins and 47 games with the Dodgers. Defensively, as a second baseman, he made 342 assists, 79 double plays, 218 putouts, and 12 errors in 148 games. He batted just .125 in 11 games in the postseason. He had two hits, one stolen base, and two RBIs in 16 at-bats. He struck out four times and walked five times.

Dozier became a free agent on October 29, 2018. He signed with the Washington Nationals on January 13, 2019. He finished the 2019 season with 99 hits, 20 doubles, 20 home runs, 50 RBIs, 105 strikeouts to 61 walks, and a .238 batting average in 135 games. Defensively, as a second baseman in 123 games, he made 248 assists, 61 double plays, 145 putouts, and 5 errors. In the postseason, he had no hits in 6 at-bats in 8 games. He struck out twice and walked once.

Dozier became a free agent on October 31, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the San Diego Padres on February 23, 2020. He was released on July 11, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets on July 22nd. The Mets released him on August 23rd. He played in just 7 games in 2020, and he had 2 hits.

Dozier announced his retirement on February 18, 2021.
