Casey McGehee, infielder, was first drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2003. He played in the minor leagues for almost seven full seasons, playing with the Cubs only in nine games in 2008. The following year, he was claimed off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers.

In 2009, his first season with the Brewers, McGehee batted a career high .301 with 107 hits, 20 doubles, 16 home runs, and 66 RBIs in 116 games. The following season was his best one, with a batting average of .285 and career highs in hits with 174, doubles with 38, home runs with 23, and RBIs with 104.

McGehee followed his strong 2010 season with a mediocre one in 2011, batting just .223 with 122 hits in 155 games. In December, 2011, the Brewers traded him to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He didn't last long with the Pirates, who traded him to the New York Yankees on July 31, 2012.

McGehee played in Japan for the 2013 season. In December, 2013, the Miami Marlins gave him a one-year contract. He finished the 2014 season with 177 hits, 29 doubles, 76 RBIs, and a .287 batting average in 160 games. His strong numbers earned him the National League Comeback Player of the Year award.

McGehee was traded to the San Francisco Giants on December 19, 2014. He was designated for assignment by the Giants on June 30, 2015. He returned to the Marlins on July 10, 2015. He finished the season with 47 hits and a .198 batting average in 49 games with the Giants and 60 games with the Marlins. Defensively, he played 21 games at first base and 42 games at third base.

McGehee signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers on February 23, 2016. He spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, playing in just 30 games with the Tigers.

McGehee became a free agent on November 3, 2016. He played in Japan in 2017 and 2018. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
