Chase Anderson, starting pitcher for the Colorado Rockies, was first drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2006 but he didn't sign with them. Three years later, he signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks when they drafted him in 2009. He pitched in the Diamondbacks' minor league system from 2009 through the beginning of 2014. In 100 games in the minors, Anderson had a 24-22 record, 397 strikeouts to 103 walks, and a 3.44 ERA.

Anderson joined the Diamondbacks as a starting pitcher in 2014. He finished the season with 114.1 innings pitched in 21 games. He had a 9-7 record with 105 strikeouts to 40 walks and a 4.01 ERA.

Anderson pitched in 27 games with the Diamondbacks in 2015. He finished the season with a 6-6 record, 111 strikeouts to 40 walks, and a 4.30 ERA in 152.2 innings.

Anderson was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers on January 30, 2016. He finished the 2016 season with 9 wins to 11 losses, 120 strikeouts to 53 walks, and a 4.39 ERA in 151.2 innings in 31 games.

In 2017, Anderson had a 2.74 ERA in 25 games with the Brewers. He had 12 wins and 4 losses and 133 strikeouts to 41 walks in 141.1 innings.

Anderson was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays on November 4, 2019. He pitched in 10 games in 2020, and he finished the season with 1 win and 2 losses, 38 strikeouts to 10 walks, and a 7.22 ERA in 33.2 innings.

Anderson became a free agent on October 30, 2020. He signed with the Philadelphia Phillies on February 8, 2021. He spent time on the IL in 2021. He finished the season with 2 wins and 4 losses, 35 strikeouts to 20 walks, and a 6.75 ERA in 48.0 innings in 14 games with the Phillies. He was released by the Phillies on August 27th, and he signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on August 31st. He didn't play with the Rangers in 2021.

Anderson signed a minor league contract with the Detroit Tigers on March 14, 2022. He was released on July 17th. He signed a minor league contract with the Tampa Bay Rays on July 25th. He was released on August 25th, and two days later, he signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds.

The Reds traded Anderson to the Rays on May 3, 2023. He was claimed off waivers by the Rockies on May 12th.
