Chris Archer, starting pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, was first drafted in 2006 by the Cleveland Indians. He played in their minor league system for two years before they traded him to the Chicago Cubs in December, 2008. He then played in the Cubs' minor league system in 2009 and 2010.
The Cubs traded Archer to the Rays in January, 2011. After almost two years in the Rays' minor league system, he finally made in to the major leagues in 2012, pitching 29.1 innings in 6 games.
