Corey Hart, retired utility player, was first drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2000. He played in the Brewers' minor league system from 2000 through half of 2006. He joined the Brewers for 1 game in 2004, 21 games in 2005, and 87 games in 2006.
In 2007, his first full season in the major leagues, Hart batted a career high .295 with 149 hits, 33 doubles, 24 home runs, 81 RBIs, and a career high 23 stolen bases in 140 games. The following season was perhaps his best one with career highs in hits (164), doubles (45), and stolen bases (23). In 2008, he batted .268 with 20 home runs and 91 RBIs in 157 games.
Hart continued to play well for the Brewers through the 2012 season. That year, he batted .270 with 152 hits, 35 doubles, 30 home runs, and 83 RBIs. In 2013, he had knee surgery and he missed the entire season.
In December, 2013, Hart signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the Seattle Mariners. He finished the 2014 season with 47 hits and a .203 batting average in 68 games.
Hart signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates on December 19, 2014. He played in just 35 games with the Pirates in 2015.
Hart retired from professional baseball after the 2015 season.
