Didi Gregorius, shortstop, was first signed by the Cincinnati Reds in 2007. He played in the Reds' minor league system from 2008 through 2012, joining the Reds for just eight games in 2012.

The Reds traded Gregorius to the Arizona Diamondbacks in December, 2012. In 2013, he played in 103 games with the Diamondbacks and he finished the season with 90 hits, 16 doubles, and a .252 batting average. As a shortstop, he made 279 assists, 152 putouts, 51 double plays, and 13 errors in 100 games. He finished the 2014 season with 61 hits and a .226 batting average in 2014 games. Defensively, as a shortstop, he made 189 assists, 39 double plays, 98 putouts, and 5 errors in 67 games.

On December 5, 2014, the Diamondbacks traded Gregorius to the New York Yankees. He finished the 2015 season with 139 hits, 24 doubles, 56 RBIs, and a .265 batting average. As the Yankees' shortstop, he made 430 assists, 77 double plays, 177 putouts, and 13 errors in 155 games. He had one hit in three at-bats in the postseason.

Gregorius had a good year in 2016, finishing the season with career highs in hits (155), doubles (32), home runs (20), and RBIs (70). He batted .276 in 153 games. Defensively, as the Yankees shortstop in 153 games, he made 380 assists, 68 double plays, 180 putouts, and 15 errors.

Gregorius had another good season in 2018, finishing the season with 135 hits, 23 doubles, 27 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 86 RBIs, 69 strikeouts to 48 walks, and a .268 batting average in 134 games. Defensively, as the Yankees shortstop in 132 games, he made 309 assists, 54 double plays, 160 putouts, and 6 errors. In the postseason, he had 4 hits and 3 RBIs in 17 at-bats in 5 games.

Gregorius spent part of the 2019 season on the DL recovering from Tommy John surgery. He finished the season with 77 hits, 61 RBIs, 53 strikeouts to 17 walks, and a .238 batting average in 82 games. As the Yankees' shortstop in 80 games, he made 181 assists, 48 double plays, 93 putouts, and 6 errors. In the postseason, he had 9 hits, including a double and a home run, 6 RBIs, 6 strikeouts to 2 walks, and a .273 batting average in 33 at-bats in 9 games.

Gregorius became a free agent on October 31, 2019. He signed a one-year, $14 million contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on December 13, 2019. He played in. 60 games in 2020, and he finished the season with 61 hits, 10 doubles, 2 triples, 10 home runs, 3 stolen bases, 40 RBIs, 28 strikeouts to 15 walks, and a .284 batting average. Defensively, he played 59 games at shortstop.

Gregorius elected free agency on October 28, 2020. He re-signed with the Phillies on February 10, 2021. He finished the 2021 season with 77 hits, 16 doubles, 13 home runs, 54 RBIs, 67 strikeouts to 25 walks, and a .209 batting average in 103 games. Defensively, as a shortstop in 101 games, he made 236 assists, 131 putouts, 49 double plays, and 18 errors.

The Phillies released Gregorius on August 4, 2022.
