Erasmo Ramirez, pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, started playing baseball while he was in school in El Salvador. He signed with the Seattle Mariners in September, 2007. He played in their minor league system from 2008 through 2013, finishing with a 45-24 record, 501 strikeouts to 111 walks, and a 3.27 ERA in 109 games.
In 2012, Ramirez joined the Mariners for 16 games. He pitched 59.0 innings and he finished the season with a 1-3 record and a 3.36 ERA. He spent time on the DL and in the minors in 2013, pitching in just 14 games with the Mariners. He pitched 72.1 innings and finished the season with a 5-3 record and a 4.98 ERA.
