Junior Lake, outfielder, signed with the Chicago Cubs as a free agent in 2007. He played in the Cubs' minor league system from 2007 through part of 2013, finishing with a .271 batting average.

Lake played in 64 games with the Cubs in 2013. He batted .284 with 67 hits, 16 doubles, and 6 home runs. He suffered from a rib injury which limited his playing time with the Cubs and in the minors.

Lake finished the 2014 season with 65 hits, 110 strikeouts to 14 walks, and a .211 batting average in 108 games with the Cubs. As an outfielder, he made 145 putouts and 7 errors in 36 games in center field, 53 games in left field, and 1 game in right field.

Lake was traded to the Baltimore Orioles on July 31, 2015. He spent most of the 2015 season in the minors, playing in just 21 games with the Cubs and 8 games with the Orioles.

Lake was designated for assignment by the Orioles on December 10, 2015. Nine days later, he was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays. He was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays on July 25, 2016, after playing in 22 games with them.

Lake became a free agent on November 7, 2016. He signed a minor league contract with the Boston Red Sox on December 9, 2016. He was released on May 1, 2017. He played in the minors and in the Mexican League in 2017.

Lake played in the Mexican League in 2018 and 2019. He played only in the Dominican Winter League and the Caribbean Series in 2020. In 2021, he played in the Mexican League and the Dominican Winter League.
