Jurickson Profar, second baseman for the Colorado Rockies, originally signed with the Texas Rangers in 2009 as a shortstop. He played in the minor leagues for three seasons before being called up to the Rangers in 2012 for nine games. In 2013, he played in 37 games in the minors and in 85 games with the Rangers. He batted .234 with 67 hits and 11 doubles in 2013.

Profar was injured during Spring Training in 2014. He ended up on the DL for the entire season. On February 23, 2015, he had shoulder surgery and he missed all of the 2016 season.

In 2016, Profar batted .239 with 65 hits in 90 games with the Rangers. Defensively, he played 17 games at first base, 19 games at second base, 25 games at third base, 11 games at shortstop, and 14 games in left field.

Profar spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, playing in just 22 games with the Rangers.

Profar finished the 2018 season with 133 hits, 35 doubles, 20 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 77 RBIs, 88 strikeouts to 54 walks, and a .254 batting average in 146 games with the Rangers. Defensively, he played 68 games at shortstop, 24 games at first base, 10 games at second base, 51 games at third base, and 1 game in left field.

The Rangers traded Profar to the Oakland Athletics on December 21, 2018. He finished the 2019 season with 100 hits, 24 doubles, 20 home runs, 67 RBIs, 75 strikeouts to 48 walks, and a .218 batting average in 139 games. Defensively, as the Athletics' second baseman in 124 games, he made 245 assists, 63 double plays, 221 putouts, and 13 errors. In the postseason, he had 2 hits in 4 at-bats in 1 game.

Profar was traded to the San Diego Padres on December 2, 2019. He played in 56 games in 2020, and he finished the season with 50 hits, 6 doubles, 7 home runs, 25 RBIs, 28 strikeouts to 15 walks, and a .278 batting average. Defensively, he played 1 game at first base, 17 games at second base, 36 games in left field, 1 game in center field, and 2 games in right field. In the postseason, he batted .267 with 4 hits in 15 at-bats in 6 games.

Profar played in 56 games in 2020. He finished the season with 50 hits, 6 doubles, 7 home runs, 25 RBIs, 7 stolen bases, 28 strikeouts to 15 walks, and a .278 batting average. Defensively, he played 1 game at first base, 17 games at second base, 36 games in left field, 1 game in center field, and 2 games in right field. In the postseason, he batted .267 with 4 hits in 15 at-bats in 6 games.

Profar finished the 2021 season with 80 hits, 17 doubles, 33 RBIs, 65 strikeouts to 49 walks, and a .227 batting average in 137 games.

Profar became a free agent on November 7, 2022. He signed with the Rockies on March 21, 2023.
