Leury Garcia, second baseman, originally signed with the Texas Rangers in 2007. He played in the Rangers' minor league system from 2008 through August, 2013, when he was traded to the Chicago White Sox. He finished his minor league career with the Rangers with 476 hits, 144 RBIs, 158 stolen bases, and a .261 batting average in 483 games.

In 2013, Garcia had 10 hits and a .198 batting average in 25 games with the Rangers and 20 games with the White Sox. He finished the 2014 season with 24 hits, 11 stolen bases, 48 strikeouts to 5 walks, and a .166 batting average in 74 games. Defensively, he played three infield positions (second base, third base, shortstop) and all three outfield positions. He also pitched in one game.

Garcia played in just 18 games with the White Sox in 2015. He spent most of the 2016 season back in the minors, again playing in just 18 games with the White Sox.

In 2017, Garcia played in 87 games with the White Sox. He batted .270 with 81 hits, 15 doubles, 33 RBIs, and 69 strikeouts to 13 walks. Defensively, he played 3 games at second base, 2 games at shortstop, 24 games in left field, and 51 games in center field.

Garcia finished the 2018 season with 70 hits and a .271 batting average in 82 games. Defensively, he played all infield and outfield positions except for first base.

Garcia batted .279 in 140 games in 2019. He had 161 hits, 27 doubles, 40 RBIs, 15 stolen bases, and 139 strikeouts to 21 walks. Defensively, he played all infield and outfield positions except for first base.

Garcia spent much of the shortened 2020 season on the IL with a thumb sprain. He played in just 16 games with the White Sox.

Garcia played in 126 games in 2021. He finished the season with 111 hits, 22 doubles, 54 RBIs, 97 strikeouts to 41 walks, and a .267 batting average. In the postseason, he had 3 hits, 1 double and 1 home run, and 4 RBIs in 15 at-bats in 4 games.

Garcia became a free agent on November 3, 2021. A month later, on December 1st, he re-signed with the White Sox.

The White Sox released Garcia on March 30, 2023.
