Logan Forsythe, second baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers, was first drafted by the San Diego Padres in 2008. He played in the Padres' minor league system from 2008 through part of 2011 before being called up to the Padres for 62 games that year.

Forsythe started the 2012 season on the DL with a foot injury. That season, he played in 91 games with the Padres and he finished with a .273 batting average. In 2013, he again started the season on the DL. In 2013, he batted .214 with 47 hits in 75 games.

The Padres traded Forsythe to the Tampa Bay Rays in January, 2014. He finished the 2014 season with 67 hits and a .223 batting average in 110 games.

In 2015, Forsythe batted .281 with 152 hits, 33 doubles, 17 home runs, and 68 RBIs in 153 games. As a second baseman, he made 299 assists, 43 double plays, 164 putouts, and 7 errors in 126 games.

Forsythe finished the 2016 season with 135 hits, 24 doubles, a career high 20 home runs, 52 RBIs, and a .264 batting average in 127 games. Defensively, as the Rays' second baseman in 118 games, he made 264 assists, 69 double plays, 206 putouts, and 9 errors.

Forsythe was traded to the Dodgers on January 23, 2017.
