Logan Forsythe, second baseman, was first drafted by the San Diego Padres in 2008. He played in the Padres' minor league system from 2008 through part of 2011 before being called up to the Padres for 62 games that year.
Forsythe started the 2012 season on the DL with a foot injury. That season, he played in 91 games with the Padres and he finished with a .273 batting average. In 2013, he again started the season on the DL. In 2013, he batted .214 with 47 hits in 75 games.
The Padres traded Forsythe to the Tampa Bay Rays in January, 2014. He finished the 2014 season with 67 hits and a .223 batting average in 110 games.
In 2015, Forsythe batted .281 with 152 hits, 33 doubles, 17 home runs, and 68 RBIs in 153 games. As a second baseman, he made 299 assists, 43 double plays, 164 putouts, and 7 errors in 126 games.
Forsythe finished the 2016 season with 135 hits, 24 doubles, a career high 20 home runs, 52 RBIs, and a .264 batting average in 127 games. Defensively, as the Rays' second baseman in 118 games, he made 264 assists, 69 double plays, 206 putouts, and 9 errors.
Forsythe was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers on January 23, 2017. He finished the 2017 season with 81 hits, 19 doubles, 36 RBIs, 109 strikeouts to 69 walks, and a .224 batting average in 119 games. Defensively, he played 1 game at first base, 80 games at second base, 42 games at third base, 2 games at shortstop, and 3 games in left field. In the postseason, he had 11 hits and 6 RBIs in 37 at-bats in 14 games.
The Dodgers traded Forsythe to the Minnesota Twins on July 31, 2018. He finished the 2018 season with 86 hits and a .232 batting average in 70 games with the Dodgers and 50 games with the Twins. As a second baseman in 99 games, he made 220 assists, 53 double plays, 147 putouts, and 7 errors.
Forsythe became a free agent on October 29, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on February 26, 2019. Forsythe became a free agent on October 31, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on February 5, 2020. he was released on July 18, 2020. He signed with the Miami Marlins on August 2nd. He played in just 12 games with the Marlins in 2020.
Forsythe became a free agent on October 28, 2020. Forsythe signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on May 4, 2021. He was released the following month, on June 18th. He played only in the minors in 2021.
