Marc Krauss, infielder, was a star baseball player in college. In 2009, he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks but he spent his time with them in the minor leagues. The Diamondbacks traded Krauss to the Houston Astros in July, 2012. He spent 2012 and most of last season in the minors and he ended his minor league career with a .277 batting average.
In 2013, Krauss played in 52 games with the Astros. He batted .209 with 28 hits. He finished the 2014 season with 36 hits, 54 strikeouts to 21 walks, and a .194 batting average in 67 games. Defensively, he played 33 games at first base, 19 games in left field, and 5 games in right field.
Krauss was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Angels on December 8, 2014. He was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays on June 25, 2015. He stayed with the Rays just until July 4, 2015, when he was designated for assignment. Two days later, the Detroit Tigers claimed him off waivers. He finished the 2015 season with 11 hits and a .141 batting average in 11 games with the Angels, 4 games with the Rays, and 12 games with the Tigers. He was released by the Tigers on August 22nd.
Krauss signed with the New York Mets on December 12, 2015. He spent the entire 2016 season in the minor leagues.
Krauss became a free agent on November 7, 2016. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2016.
