Matt Dominguez, third baseman, was first drafted by the Miami Marlins in 2007 but he only played in 17 games with the Marlins in 2011. The rest of his time with the team was spent in the minor leagues. He ended his minor league career with a .256 batting average.

In July, 2012, Dominguez was traded to the Houston Astros. He spent most of the 2012 season in the minor leagues, playing in just 31 games with the Astros. In 2013, he played in 152 games with the Astros and he batted .241 with 131 hits, 25 doubles, 21 home runs, and 77 RBIs. He finished the 2014 season with 121 hits, 17 doubles, 16 home runs, 57 RBIs, and a .215 batting average in 157 games.

Dominguez was claimed off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers on June 16, 2015. Later in the season (September 6th), the Toronto Blue Jays claimed him off waivers. He spent the entire 2015 season in the minors.

Dominguez spent most of the 2016 season again in the minors, playing in just 5 games with the Blue Jays.

Dominguez became a free agent on November 7, 2016. He signed a minor league contract with the Boston Red Sox on December 12, 2016. He spent the entire 2017 season in the minors.

Dominguez elected free agency on November 6, 2017. He played in Japan in 2018. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
