Robbie Grossman, outfielder for the Texas Rangers, was first drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2008. After playing in the Pirates' minor league system from 2008 through July, 2012, the Pirates traded him to the Houston Astros. He continued playing in the minor leagues through most of 2013.

Grossman played in 63 games with the Astros in 2013. He finished the season with 69 hits, 14 doubles, and a .268 batting average. He finished the 2014 season with 84 hits, 14 doubles, 37 RBIs, 105 strikeouts to 55 walks, and a .233 batting average in 103 games. Defensively, he played 67 games in left field, 6 games in center field, and 32 games in right field and he made 177 putouts and 3 errors.

Grossman spent most of the 2015 season in the minors, playing in just 24 games with the Astros.

On December 11, 2015, Grossman signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians. He was released on May 16, 2016, and he signed with the Minnesota Twins on the same day. He finished the 2016 season with 93 hits, 19 doubles, 37 RBIs, and a .280 batting average in 99 games with the Twins. Defensively, as the Twins' left fielder in 75 games, he made 122 putouts and 8 errors.

Grossman batted .246 in 119 games with the Twins in 2017. He finished the season with 94 hits, 2 doubles, 45 RBIs, and 79 strikeouts to 67 walks. Defensively, he played 18 games in left field and 28 games in right field. In the Wild Card game, he had no hits in 4 at-bats.

Grossman finished the 2018 season with 108 hits, 27 doubles, 48 RBIs, 83 strikeouts to 60 walks, and a .273 batting average in 129 games. Defensively, he played 34 games in left field and 52 games in right field.

Grossman became a free agent on November 30, 2018. He signed with the Oakland Athletics on February 15, 2019. He finished the 2019 season with 101 hits, 21 doubles, 38 RBIs, 86 strikeouts to 59 walks, and a .240 batting average in 138 games. Defensively, as a left fielder in 112 games, he made 197 putouts and no errors.

Grossman played in 51 games in 2020. He finished the season with 40 hits, 12 doubles, 8 home runs, 23 RBIs, 38 strikeouts to 21 walks, and a .241 batting average. Defensively, he played 46 games in left field, 2 games in center field,and 1 game in right field. In the postseason, he had 3 hits and a .176 batting average in 17 at-bats in 6 games.

Grossman became a free agent on October 28, 2020. He signed with the Detroit Tigers on January 5, 2021. He finished the 2021 season with 133 hits, 23 doubles, 23 home runs, 20 stolen bases, 67 RBIs, 155 strikeouts to 98 walks, and a .239 batting average in 156 games.

Grossman was traded to the Atlanta Braves on August 2, 2022.

Grossman became a free agent on November 6, 2022. He signed with the Rangers on February 17, 2023.
