Rubby De La Rosa, pitcher, was first signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers in July, 2007. He played in the Dodgers' minor league system from 2007 through part of 2011.

De La Rosa joined the Dodgers in 2011 for 13 games. His season was ended when he had Tommy John surgery. He finished the 2011 season with a 4-5 record and a 3.71 ERA. He spent most of the 2012 season recovering from surgery and in the minor leagues, pitching in just one game with the Dodgers.

In October, 2012, De La Rosa was traded to the Boston Red Sox. In 2013, he pitched just 11.1 innings in 11 games with the Red Sox. He finished the 2014 season with a 4-8 record, 74 strikeouts to 35 walks, and a 4.43 ERA in 101.2 innings in 19 games.

De La Rosa was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks on December 12, 2014, for Wade Miley. He pitched in 32 games in 2015 and he finished the season with a 14-9 record, 150 strikeouts to 63 walks, and a 4.67 ERA in 188.2 innings.

In 2016, De La Rosa had a 4.26 ERA in 10 games as a starter and 3 games as a reliever. He finished the season with 4 wins to 5 losses and 54 strikeouts to 20 walks in 50.2 innings.

De La Rosa became a free agent on December 2, 2016. He signed a minor league contract to return to the Diamondbacks on January 10, 2017. He was released on September 1, 2017. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, pitching just 7.2 innings in 9 games with the Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks re-signed De La Rosa to a minor league contract on November 7, 2017. He spent the entire 2018 season on the DL.

The Diamondbacks released De La Rosa on June 24, 2019. He played in the minors and in Japan in 2019. He played in Japan again from 2020 through 2022.

De La Rosa signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers on February 9, 2023, and he was released on April 14th.
