Ryan Doumit

Ryan Doumit was first drafted in 1999 by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played in the Pirates' minor league system from 1999 through half of 2005 before being called up to the Pirates for 75 games in 2005.

Doumit suffered from injuries in 2006 and 2007 that limited his playing time to 61 games in 2006 and 83 games in 2007. He had a thumb injury in 2008 that limited his time with the Pirates to 116 games. However, he played well that year, batting .318 with 137 hits, 34 doubles, 15 home runs, and 69 RBIs.

Doumit signed a three-year contract with the Pirates in December, 2008. The following season, he again suffered an injury and had surgery that limited his playing time in 2009 to 75 games. He played in 124 games in 2010 but played in only 77 games in 2011.

Doumit became a free agent after the 2011 season and in November, he signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the Minnesota Twins. The following June, he signed a two-year, $7 million contract extension. In 2013, he batted .247 with 120 hits, 28 doubles, 14 home runs, and 55 RBIs in 135 games.

In December, 2013, the Twins traded Doumit to the Braves. He finished the 2014 season with 31 hits and a .197 batting average in 100 games.

Doumit became a free agent on October 30, 2014. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2014.
