Scott Carroll, pitcher, was first drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in 2006 but he didn't sign with them. A year later, he was drafted by and signed with the Cincinnati Reds. He played in the Reds' minor league system from 2007 through part of 2012 before they released him on July 9, 2012. Three days later, he signed with the Chicago White Sox.
Carroll played in 107 games in the minor leagues from 2007 through the start of 2014. He finished with a 27-38 record, 385 strikeouts to 186 walks, and a 3.95 ERA.
Carroll joined the White Sox for 26 games in 2014. He finished the season with a 5-10 record, 64 strikeouts to 45 walks, and a 4.80 ERA in 129.1 innings.
