Steve Tolleson, infielder, was first drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2005. He played in the Twins' minor league system from 2005 through 2009. In February, 2010, he was claimed off waivers by the Oakland Athletics.

Tolleson joined the Athletics for 25 games in 2010 but he spent the following season in the minor leagues. At the end of May, 2011, he was traded to the San Diego Padres.

In November, 2011, Tolleson signed a minor league contract with the Orioles. He played in just 29 games with the Orioles in 2012, batting .183. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox in November, 2012, and he spent all of the 2013 back in the minor leagues.

Tolleson signed a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays in December, 2013. He finished the 2014 season with 43 hits, 49 strikeouts to 12 walks, and a .253 batting average in 109 games. Defensively, he played five positions (second base, third base, shortstop, left field, right field). He also pitched in two games.

Tolleson spent the month of June, 2015, on the DL with a groin strain. He ended the season playing in just 19 games with the Blue Jays. On November 23, 2015, he signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles.

On May 26, 2016, Tolleson signed a minor league contract with the Kansas City Royals. He played only in the minor leagues in 2016.

Tolleson became a free agent on November 7, 2016. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2016.

Personal Life

Tolleson's father Wayne played major league baseball from 1981 through 1990. He played for the Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox, and the New York Yankees.
