Tony Cingrani, relief pitcher, was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 2011. He pitched in the Reds' minor league system in 2011 and 2012, joining the Reds for three games in 2012. He finished his minor league career with a 16-6 record and a 1.65 ERA.

In 2014, Cingrani pitched 104.2 innings in 23 games with the Reds. He finished the 2013 season with a 7-4 record, 120 strikeouts to 43 walks, and a 2.92 ERA. He played in just 13 games with the Reds in 2014, finishing with a 2-8 record, 61 strikeouts to 35 walks, and a 4.55 ERA in 63.1 innings.

Cingrani pitched in 35 games from the Reds' bullpen in 2015. He finished the season with 39 strikeouts to 25 walks and a 5.67 ERA in 33.1 innings.

In 2016, Cingrani pitched 63.0 innings from the Reds' bullpen. He had a 4.14 ERA, 2 wins to 5 losses, 17 saves, and 49 strikeouts to 37 walks in 65 games.

The Reds traded Cingrani to the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 31, 2017. He finished the 2017 season with a 4.22 ERA in 25 games with the Reds and 22 games with the Dodgers. In the postseason, he pitched 5.0 innings in 7 games and he gave up 3 hits and 1 run.

Cingrani spent time on the DL in 2018 with left shoulder issues. He pitched just 22.2 innings in 30 games with the Dodgers. He finished the season with 1 win and 2 losses, 36 strikeouts to 6 walks, and a 4.76 ERA. He didn't pitch in the postseason.

Cingrani was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals on July 31, 2019. He spent the entire 2019 season on the DL with a shoulder injury and recovering from shoulder surgery.

Cingrani became a free agent on October 31, 2019. He didn't play professional baseball in 2020.

Cingrani began the 2021 season in the independent Atlantic League. The Chicago Cubs acquired him on July 3rd, and they released him on August 25th. He played only in the minors with the Cubs.
