Trevor Plouffe, third baseman, was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2004 and he spent almost seven years in the minor leagues before making his first appearance in a Twins uniform. In 2010, he played in 22 games with the Twins.
In 2011, Plouffe played in 81 games with the Twins. That season, he was a utility defensive player, playing at first base, second base, shortstop, left field, and right field. He became the regular third baseman for the Twins in 2012. That season, he played in 119 games and batted .235.
In 2013, Plouffe batted .254 with 121 hits, 22 doubles, and 14 home runs in 129 games. He finished the 2014 season with 134 hits, 40 doubles, 14 home runs, 80 RBIs, and a .258 batting average in 136 games.
