Tuffy Gosewisch, catcher, was a top catcher in college before being drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2005. After seven and a half years in the Phillies' minor league system, he was acquired by the Toronto Blue Jays at the end of July, 2012.

In November, 2012, Gosewisch signed a minor league contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks. He spent most of the 2013 season in the minor leagues, playing in just 14 games with the Diamondbacks. In nine years in the minors, Gosewisch batted .239 with 596 hits, 160 doubles, and 303 RBIs in 742 games.

Gosewisch played in just 41 games with the Diamondbacks in 2014. He had 29 hits, 24 strikeouts to 3 walks, and a .225 batting average. Although his offensive numbers are far from impressive, his defense is excellent. As a catcher, he made 18 assists, 241 putouts, and 1 error for a .996 fielding percentage. He caught players trying to steal an impressive 42.1% of the time.

Gosewisch suffered a knee injury on June 2, 2015, that ended the season for him. In 38 games in 2015, he batted .211 with 27 hits.

Gosewisch spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, playing in just 33 games with the Diamondbacks. He batted .156 with 14 hits.

The Atlanta Braves claimed Gosewisch off waivers on November 18, 2016. He signed a one-year contract with the Braves on November 30, 2016. The Seattle Mariners claimed him off waivers on January 26, 2017. He was designated for assignment by the Mariners on August 6, 2017. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, playing in just 11 games with the Mariners.

Gosewisch signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals on April 13, 2018. He spent the 2018 season in the minors.

Gosewisch became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on December 10th. He spent the 2019 season in the minors.

Gosewisch didn't play professional baseball in 2020. He elected free agency on November 2, 2020.
