Ubaldo Jimenez, pitcher, started his professional baseball career in the Colorado. Rockies' minor league system in 2002. He spent five years in the minors before being called up to the Rockies in 2006 for 2 games. The following season, he pitched 82.0 innings in 15 games with the Rockies, finishing with a 4.28 ERA.

In 2008, his first full season as a starting pitcher with the Rockies, Jimenez pitched in 34 games and finished with a 12-12 win-loss record and a 3.99 ERA. After the season ended, he signed a four-year, $10 million contract with the Rockies.

Jimenez's best season was 2010, when he had career highs in innings pitched (221.2), wins (19 to 8 losses), and strikeouts (214 to 92 walks) and a career low ERA of 2.88. On April 17, 2010, he pitched a no-hitter against the Atlanta Braves.

The Rockies traded Jimenez to the Cleveland Indians after 21 games and a 4.46 ERA in 2011. In 2012, his first full season with the Indians, he had a weak season, finishing with a 9-17 record and a 5.40 ERA. He fared better in 2013 with a 13-9 record and a 3.30 ERA.

Jimenez became a free agent after the 2013 season and he signed a four-year, $50 million contract with the Baltimore Orioles in February, 2014. He struggled in the 2014 season, finishing with a 6-9 record, 116 strikeouts to 77 walks, and a 4.81 ERA in 125.1 innings in 25 games.

Jimenez pitched in 32 games with the Orioles in 2015. He finished the season with a 12-10 record, 168 strikeouts to 68 walks, and a 4.11 ERA in 184.0 innings.

Jimenez finished the 2016 season with a 5.44 ERA in 29 games. He had 8 wins to 12 losses and 125 strikeouts to 72 walks in 142.1 innings. In the postseason, he played in one game and he gave up 3 hits and 3 runs.

In 2017, Jimenez had a 6.81 ERA in 31 games with the Orioles. He finished the season with 6 wins and 11 losses and 139 strikeouts to 58 walks in 142.2 innings.

Jimenez elected free agency on November 2, 2017. He didn't play professional baseball in 2018 and 2019.

Jimenez signed a minor league contract with the Rockies on February 5, 2020. He was released on July 20, 2020. He didn't play in 2020 and 2021.
