Will Middlebrooks, retired infielder, was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in 2007. He played in the minor leagues from 2008 through 2011.
In 2012, Middlebrooks played in 75 games with the Red Sox. He batted .288 with 77 hits, 14 doubles, 15 home runs, and 54 RBIs. He didn't play as well in 2013, batting just .227 with 79 hits, 18 doubles, and 17 home runs in 94 games. He spent most of the 2014 season on the DL, playing in just 63 games with the Red Sox. He had just 41 hits and a .191 batting average.
Middlebrooks was traded to the San Diego Padres in December, 2014. After 83 games with the Padres in 2015, he was sent to the minors. In his time with the Padres, he batted .212 with 54 hits. Defensively, as a third baseman, he made 93 assists, 13 double plays, 53 putouts, and 7 errors in 69 games.

The Texas Rangers signed Middlebrooks to a minor league contract on November 11, 2016. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, playing in just 22 games with the Rangers.
Middlebrooks elected free agency on October 10, 2017. He signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on January 3, 2018. He spent the 2018 season on the DL.
Middlebrooks became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He retired in January 2019.
