Andrew Lambo, utility player, was first drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2007. He played in the Dodgers' minor league system from 2007 through part of 2010. He received a 50-game suspension for the use of a banned substance in 2010.
Lambo was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 31, 2010. He continued in the minor leagues through most of 2014, joining the Pirates for just 18 games in 2013 and 21 games in 2014.
As a minor leaguer, Lambo had 761 hits, 179 doubles, 100 home runs, 442 RBIs, 627 strikeouts to 271 walks, and a .280 batting average in 741 games. He played 236 games in right field and 366 games in left field.
Lambo spent most of the 2015 season on the DL with a foot injury. He played in just 20 games with the Pirates. He was claimed off waivers by the Oakland Athletics on November 6, 2015. He spent most of the 2016 season on the DL, playing in just one game with the Athletics. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer in June, 2016.
After 12 games in the minor leagues in 2017, he was released on May 15th. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2017.
