Avisail Garcia, outfielder for the Miami Marlins, was first signed by the Detroit Tigers in July, 2007. He played in the Tigers' minor league system from 2008 through most of 2013.

Garcia joined the Tigers for 23 games in 2012. After 30 games with the Tigers in 2013, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox. He finished the 2013 season with 69 hits and a .283 batting average in a total of 72 games. He missed most of the 2014 season due to a shoulder injury that limited his playing time to 46 games.

Garcia played in 148 games in 2015. He finished the season with 142 hits, 17 doubles, 59 RBIs, and a .257 batting average. As a right fielder, he made 235 putouts and 3 errors in 130 games.
