Chris Heston, pitcher, was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 2007 and the Washington Nationals in 2008 but he didn't sign with either team. He did, however, sign with the San Francisco Giants when they drafted him in 2009.
Heston pitched in the Giants' minor league system from 2009 through 2014. During that time, he had a 46-45 win-loss record, a 3.56 ERA, and 646 strikeouts to 220 walks in 765.0 innings in 133 games. In 2014, he also pitched for the Giants in three games.
Heston pitched a no-hitter against the New York Mets on June 9, 2015. He struck out 11 batters, walked none, and hit three. He finished the 2015 season with a 12-11 record, 141 strikeouts to 64 walks, and a 3.95 ERA in 177.2 innings in 31 games.
Heston spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, pitching just 5.0 innings in 4 games with the Giants.
The Giants traded Heston to the Seattle Mariners on December 7, 2016. He was designated for assignment by the Mariners on May 24, 2017. Two days later, the Los Angeles Dodgers claimed him off waivers. The Twins acquired him on June 7th, when they claimed him off waivers from the Dodgers. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, pitching in just 2 games with the Mariners and 1 game with the Twins.
Heston became a free agent on November 6, 2017. He rejoined the Giants on a new contract on January 24, 2018. After nine games in the minors in 2018, he was released on July 27th. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
