Clint Robinson, retired infielder, was first drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 2007. He pitched in the Royals' minor league system from 2007 through 2012, joining the Royals for 4 games in 2012. He was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in November, 2012.
Before having a chance to play for the Pirates, Robinson was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays in March, 2013. He then continued to play in the minors. After the 2013 season, he signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in November, 2013. He spent most of the 2014 season back in the minors, joining the Dodgers for just nine games.
Robinson played in the minor leagues from 2007 through 2014. During that time, he batted .302 with 1,016 hits, 238 doubles, 141 home runs, 587 RBIs, and 594 strikeouts to 409 walks in 921 games. Defensively, as a first baseman, he made 352 assists, 524 double plays, 5,370 putouts, and 72 errors in 647 games.
On December 12, 2014, Robinson signed with the Washington Nationals. He finished the 2015 season with 84 hits, 15 doubles, 34 RBIs, and a .272 batting average in 126 games. He hit his first major league home run on June 11th. Defensively, he played 44 games at first base, 27 games in left field, and 11 games in right field. He pitched for the Nationals in one game.
Robinson batted .235 in 104 games with the Nationals in 2016. Defensively, he played 46 games at first base and 3 games in left field. In the postseason, he batted .667 with 2 hits in 3 at-bats in 3 games.
Robinson spent the entire 2017 season in the minors. He retired after the season ended.
