Cody Anderson, pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, was first drafted in 2010 by the Tampa Bay Rays but he didn't sign with them. A year later, he was drafted and signed by the Cleveland Indians. He pitched in the Indians' minor league system from 2011 through 2014. During that time, he had a 17-22 record and 278 strikeouts to 118 walks in 365.0 innings in 75 games.
In 2015, his first season in the major leagues, Anderson pitched 91.1 innings in 15 games. He finished the season with a 7-3 record, 44 strikeouts to 24 walks, and a 3.05 ERA.
Anderson had a 6.68 ERA in 9 games as a starter and 10 games in relief in 2016. He had 2 wins to 5 losses and 54 strikeouts to 13 walks in 60.2 innings. He didn't pitch in the postseason.
Anderson had Tommy John surgery in the Spring of 2017 and he missed the entire 2017 season. He spent most of the 2018 season on the DL. He pitched in just three games in the minors.
