Danny Santana, infielder, was signed by the Minnesota Twins in December, 2007. He played in their minor league system from 2008 through 2013.

Santana joined the Twins for 101 games in 2014. He finished the season with a .319 batting average, 129 hits, 27 doubles, and 20 stolen bases. Defensively, he played 34 games at shortstop and 69 games in center field.

Santana played in 91 games in 2015. He finished the season with 56 hits and a .215 batting average. Defensively, as a shortstop in 66 games, he made 191 assists, 47 double plays, 92 putouts, and 16 errors.

In 2016, Santana batted .240 in 75 games with the Twins. Defensively, he played at all infield positions except for first base and in all three outfield positions.

The Twins designated Santana for assignment on May 5, 2017. He was traded to the Atlanta Braves on May 8th. He finished the 2017 season with 34 hits and a .202 batting average in 82 games. Defensively, he played 8 games at second base, 5 games at third base, 38 games in left field, and 9 games in right field.

Santana elected free agency on December 1, 2017. He rejoined the Braves on a minor league contract on December 20, 2017. He spent most of the 2018 season in the minors, playing in just 15 games with the Braves.

Santana became a free agent on October 11, 2018. He signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers on January 9, 2019. He finished the 2019 season with 134 hits, 23 doubles, 28 home runs, 21 stolen bases, 81 RBIs, 151 strikeouts to 25 walks, and a .283 batting average in 130 games. Defensively, he played all infield and outfield positions.

Santana played in just 15 games with the Rangers in 2020.

Santana elected free agency on December 2, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Boston Red Sox on March 7, 2021. He had several stints on the IL in 2021. He played in just 38 games with the Red Sox in the regular season. In the postseason, he had no hits in 3 at-bats in 5 games.

Santana became a free agent on November 3, 2021. On April 4, 2022, he received an 80 game suspension for a PED violation. The Red Sox signed him to a minor league contract on July 28, 2022. He was released on August 20th.
