Darrell Ceciliani, outfielder, was drafted by the New York Mets in 2009. He played in the Mets' minor league system from 2009 through 2014. During that time, he had 495 hits, 88 doubles, 27 triples, 196 RBIs, 109 stolen bases, and 390 strikeouts to 150 walks in 461 games. Defensively, as a center fielder, he made 830 putouts and 16 errors in 344 games.
Ceciliani played in 39 games with the Mets in 2015. He had 14 hits and a .206 batting average. He hit his first major league home run on June 14th.
Ceciliani was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays on February 2, 2016. He spent most of the 2016 season in the minors, playing in just 13 games with the Blue Jays.
Ceciliani spent most of the 2017 season on the DL and in the minors, joining the Blue Jays for just 3 games. He became a free agent on November 6, 2017. He played in the independent Atlantic League in 2018. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
Personal Life
Ceciliani's brother Devin was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2013. However, he opted to go to Western Oregon University instead of signing with the Rays.
