Dilson Herrera, infielder, originally signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2010. After almost three years in the Pirates' minor league system, he was traded to the New York Mets in August, 2013. He then continued in the minors through most of 2014.

As a minor leaguer from 2011 through 2014, Herrera had 418 hits, 91 doubles, 65 stolen bases, 187 RBIs, and 299 strikeouts to 138 walks in 369 games. Defensively, he played 267 games at second base and he made 749 assists, 149 double plays, 481 putouts, and 40 errors.

Herrera joined the Mets for 18 games in 2014. He hit his first major league home run on September 1, 2014. He followed that with two more home runs that month. He spent most of the 2015 season in the minors, playing in just 31 games with the Mets.

Herrera was traded to the Cincinnati Reds on August 1, 2016. He spent the entire 2016 and 2017 seasons in the minors.

Herrera played in 53 games with the Reds in 2018. He had 16 hits and a .184 batting average. He also played in 71 games in the minors.

Herrera became a free agent on November 2, 2018. He returned to the Mets on a minor league contract on November 29, 2018. He spent the 2019 season in the minors.

Herrera elected free agency on September 1, 2019. He signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles on December 5th. He played in just 3 games with the Orioles in 2020.

Herrera became a free agent on September 28, 2020. He signed a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays on April 28, 2021, and he was released on August 15th. He played in the minors, the Venezuelan Winter League, and the Caribbean Series in 2021.
