Dusty Coleman, infielder for the San Diego Padres, was first drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 2008. He played in the Athletics' minor league system in 2008 and 2009 and from 2011 through 2014. During that time, he had 586 hits, 142 doubles, 61 home runs, 86 stolen bases, 333 RBIs, and 919 strikeouts to 248 walks in 674 games. Defensively, as a shortstop, he made 1,754 assists, 342 double plays, 922 putouts, and 118 errors in 588 games.

Coleman signed with the Kansas City Royals on January 16, 2015. He spent almost all of the 2015 season in the minors, joining the Royals for just 4 games.

Coleman spent the entire 2016 season in the minors. He became a free agent on November 7, 2016, and a month later, on December 2nd, he signed a minor league contract with the Padres. He spent most of the 2017 season in the minors, playing in just 27 games with the Padres.

Coleman became a free agent on October 2, 2017. He rejoined the Padres on a minor league contract on November 16, 2017. He spent the 2018 season in the minors.

Coleman elected free agency on November 2, 2018. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
