Emmanuel Burriss, infielder, was first drafted in 2006 by the San Francisco Giants. He played in the Giants' minor league system in 2006 and 2007.

In 2008, Burriss played in a career high 95 games with the Giants. He batted .283 with 68 hits and 13 stolen bases. The following year, his season ended in July when he fractured his foot. He batted .238 with 48 hits in 61 games in 2009. The following Spring, he had a second foot fracture that limited his playing time with the Giants to just seven games. He spent the remainder of the 2010 season in the minors, playing in 72 games there.

In 2011 and 2012, Burriss split his time between the Giants and their minor league system. He played in 59 games with the Giants in 2011 and in 60 games with them in 2012.

Burriss signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds in November, 2012, and he spent all of the 2013 season in the minor leagues. In December, 2013, he signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals and in 2014, he again played only in the minors.

Burriss played in just five games with the Nationals in 2015. He played in 95 games in the minors and he batted .279 with 105 hits.

Burriss signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on November 18, 2015. He split his time in 2016 between the Phillies and the minors, playing in just 39 games with the Phillies.

Burriss became a free agent on October 15, 2016. He returned to the Nationals on a minor league contract on December 13, 2016. He spent the 2017 season in the minors.

Burriss elected free agency on November 6, 2017. He played only in the Dominican Winter League in 2018. He hasn't played professional baseball since 2018.
