Felix Doubront, starting pitcher, signed with the Boston Red Sox in May, 2005, at the age of 17. He pitched in the minor leagues from 2005 through most of 2011, joining the Red Sox for 12 games in 2010 and 11 games in 2011.

In 2012, his first season in the major leagues, Doubront had a 4.86 ERA, an 11-10 record, and 167 strikeouts to 71 walks in 161.0 innings in 29 games. The following season, he had similar numbers, with a 4.32 ERA and an 11-6 record in 162.1 innings in 29 games.

Doubront struggled in the first half of the 2014 season and the Red Sox traded him to the Chicago Cubs on July 30th. At the time, he had a 6.07 ERA and a 2-4 record in 17 games. He pitched in just four games with the Cubs in 2014.

The Cubs released Doubront on March 28, 2015. Five days later, he signed a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays. He was traded to the Oakland Athletics on July 31, 2015. He finished the 2015 season with a 3-3 record, 1 save, 56 strikeouts to 26 walks, and a 5.50 ERA in 5 games with the Blue Jays and 11 games with the Athletics.

Doubront signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Athletics on December 2, 2015. He had Tommy John surgery in April, 2016, causing him to miss the entire 2016 season.

Doubront became a free agent on October 7, 2016. A month later, on November 14th, he returned to the Athletics on a minor league contract. He spent the entire 2017 season in the minors.

Doubront elected free agency on November 6, 2017. He didn't play professional baseball in 2018. He played in the Mexican League in 2019. He played in the Mexican Pacific Winter League and the Venezuelan Winter League in 2020.

Doubront played in China in 2021.
