Freddy Galvis, infielder, was first signed by the Philadelphia Phillies in July, 2006. He played in the Phillies' minor league system from 2007 through 2011. In 2012, he received a 50 game suspension for the use of PEDs.

Galvis joined the Phillies in 2012, playing in 58 games with them. He batted .226 with 43 hits, 15 doubles, and 24 RBIs. The following season, he batted .234 with 48 hits in 70 games. In 2014, he batted just .176 with 21 hits in 43 games with the Phillies. He also played in the minor leagues in 2013 (62 games) and 2014 (45 games).

Galvis finished the 2015 season with 147 hits, 14 doubles, 50 RBIs, and a .263 batting average. As the Phillies' shortstop, he made 398 assists, 87 double plays, 207 putouts, and 17 errors in 146 games.

Galvis became a free agent on October 28, 2020. He signed with the Baltimore Orioles on January 26, 2021. He returned to the Phillies in a trade on July 30, 2021. He finished the 2021 season with 86 hits, 15 doubles, 14 home runs, 40 RBIs, 77 strikeouts to 27 walks, and a .242 batting average in 72 games with the Orioles and 32 games with the Phillies.
