Gonzalez Germen, relief pitcher, was first signed by the New York Mets in October, 2007. He pitched in the Mets' minor league system from 2008 through 2012.

Germen split his time between the Mets and the minors in 2013 and 2014. He pitched 34.1 innings in 29 games with the Mets in 2013 and he had a 1-2 record and a 3.93 ERA. He didn't do as well in 30.1 innings in 25 games in 2014, finishing with a 4.75 ERA. As a minor league pitcher from 2008 through 2014, he had a 38-31 record and 507 strikeouts to 132 walks in 543.0 innings in 148 games.

The Mets traded Germen to the New York Yankees on December 19, 2014. A month later, on January 20, 2015, he was traded to the Texas Rangers. He lasted only one day with the Rangers before they designated him for assignment. The Chicago Cubs claimed him off waivers on January 23, 2015.

Germen pitched in six games with the Cubs in 2015 before he was claimed off waivers by the Colorado Rockies on July 7th. As a relief pitcher in 38.2 innings in 2015, he had 1 save and a 4.42 ERA. He also pitched in 27 games in the minors.

In 2016, Germen had a 5.31 ERA in 40 games with the Rockies. He finished the season with 2 wins to 1 loss, 1 save, and 32 strikeouts to 25 walks in 40.2 innings.

Germen became a free agent on October 6, 2016. He didn't play professional baseball in 2017 and 2018. He played in the Mexican League in 2019, until he was released on May 28th.

Germen didn't play professional baseball in 2020. He played in the Dominican Winter League in 2021.
